Was playing with a simple short video for a Art Club prompt I was given...

In this context I wanted to focus less on lighting and scene and more on story, so I used some free UE marketplace assets and did some basic camera and lighting work. The rest was in the rendering and story telling itself.

I like writing, but don't get to do it often so thought I'd have a swing here.

I like the idea of life returning to very limited locations on the planet after it was decimated, the same way humanity has returned, but with it, the need to control resources, and so the cycle begins again.

As part of a casual art club at my time at GMG I did the following piece for that fortnightly prompt…

"Depict the golden age of piracy during the year 1674. Pirates fight on the high seas, pillaging and plundering the innocent and each other. Many fight with cutlasses and crude muzzle loaded firearms. Some are merciful and operate with honor, while others are vicious and slay ruthlessly.

They often pillage places along shorelines., and spend their time drinking and eating while enjoying their various stolen goods. They carry themselves in rough condition, They rarely bathed and often suffered from skin diseases and other illnesses. Despite this, a successful pirate may have been adorned with their various jewellery and fabric bounties. Creating a harsh juxtaposition within their appearance."

I decided to go with an Unreal scene for my piece using free Unreal Paragon assets

The goal of this little project was purely for practice and fun.

Was made with a combination of UE4 Marketplace assets, Megascans and this amazing Halo Model by Samuel & Joshua McCarthy.

ROLE: Lighting/ FX/ Sequencer Cinematic

Another UE4 speed-build I created in a single sitting using a combination of my own assets and free Epic assets. I am a huge halo fan so this was a fun piece to try and put together.

This is a collection of scenes I created for my submission to the Project Sol Contest.

The compitition details were described like below:

“It’s been one year since RTX has turned the lights on for graphic realism and AI. Let’s celebrate by having a little fun with one of our first expressions of ray traced graphics—Project Sol. Download these beauties and reimagine them any way you want. Put them in a new environment, repose them, or tweak them…surprise us. Share your remixed Sol images on social media for a chance to be featured on our channels and win one of three NVIDIA Studio prize packages.”

This is an Unreal Scene I put together a little while back experimenting with UE4's new volumetric fog and lighting feature. I placed all the assets in the scene, particles, and lighting.
(I did not make the assets. They are free assets from Epic or packages I have purchased over the years.)

I made this as a tribute to the late Edward King, my former high school art teacher. He was a major influence into me becoming an artist and I made this as a way to remember him.

Unreal Engine Cinematic Summer Submission A Stag goes on a road trip to a secluded beach to spend a summer evening with his beloved Doe. They drink wine and play on the beach and have an unforgettable summer day. The Stag and Doe was inspired by my real world relationship with my partner and how we like going to the beach.
